SOLD 10/16/07 update: More pictures are now available. Click to view. You're looking at Two Spot, formerly called Puppy Six here on the ranch. She is just adorable to hold in your lap. She buries her nose in the crook of your arm and makes the cutest little grunting noise when you cuddle her in your lap. All of her puppy shots, including rabies - parvo - distemper - hepatitis and the rest, are complete. She is on an annual schedule of booster shots now. We have 7 female pups running to and fro, and it can get a little confusing trying to keep them all in order. So here's a rundown of who's who. Puppy One. Now we call her Indy. Her coat is solid white. She's a rambunctious little bugger. She rules the roost in the puppy fiefdom. Puppy Two. Now we call her Allie. Her coat is solid white too. She is easy to distinguish from her sister Indy because of her two small white pigment areas on each side of her nostril. She just melts into your arms, and has the most adorable loving eyes. Puppy Three through Puppy Seven all display the classic badger heritage face markings. Puppy Three. Now we call her Freedom. Her white forehead stripe is slightly offset to one side, which reminded me of a freeway and we thought about calling her Freeway. But we have a fondness for patriotic names and the name Freeway became Freedom. Puppy Four. Now we call her Glory. She is the only badger marked pup with no other spots displayed anywhere on her coat. For those of you who are unfamiliar with the Great Pyrenees breed, most of these markings will fade almost completely away over time. Puppy Five . Now we call her One Spot. She is distinguishable by the fact that she has only one spot rearward of her neck in addition to her badger markings. Puppy Six (pictured above). Now we call her Two Spot. She is distinguishable by the fact that she has two spots rearward of her neck in addition to her badger markings. Are you seeing a trend develop here? Puppy Seven. Now we call her Three Spot. Just the other day we noticed that she really has four spots. We thought about changing her name, but the thought of recoding all of our web pages which have hyperlinks with the name Three Spot already coded into the pages has deterred us from pursuing this. The poor girl sure needs a new home with caring owners who would give her a proper permanent name. As long as I'm dropping hints... Did you know that Pyrenees Ranch offers discount pricing when you purchase more than one pup? You can save $50 ($25 each) on the purchase of two, and on the purchase of 3 or more you save $50 each. All of the puppies described above are in excellent
health and are anxious to come see you. Each and every one of them has
a superb personality, as is commonplace with the Great Pyrenees breed. |
